Covid Update

2 Jun 2021 by Ansell Rebecca

Following today’s announcement from the Victorian Government relating to the easing of current COVID restrictions the Club is excited to facilitate the return of junior football and netball – pending further announcements from State Health authorities tomorrow morning.

To ensure a safe return to play it is also equally important that as a club we take appropriate care and due diligence to ensure the required mandatory restrictions are followed by all.

At all football games this weekend there will be additional restrictions enforced including;

• The only people permitted on the ground are the helpers listed on the Team sheet (i.e parent game day volunteers).

• Be aware of shared care arrangements whereby parents/guardians/children are commuting from Melbourne – more stringent conditions apply.

• it is preferred that parents, guardians and spectators remain in cars at all times to ensure no congregating in groups.

• No pre-game/post game huddle to occur.

• QR checking in at both home and away games is mandatory. If you are at an away game and cannot find an QR code please actively seek one out.

Feedback from AFL Barwon has advised there also may be the possibility of change of time, location and teams for this weekend’s fixtures, all of which will be notified via Team App.

To give us the best chance of sport continuing for our children, we appreciate your support as we work through these changed conditions.

Further communications will be shared over the next 24 hours as they becomes available.
